Will also answer to: That Girl With the Jumpsuits, Kate Baldwin's doppelgänger, and Clover Bramblebriar (when playing as my D&D character*, an extremely angry halfling druid). *see above, "Massive Nerd"
As you may have noticed, there's a lot of lists goin' on around here. I've never been very good at "doing less" -- maybe it's the ADHD or just my Big Leo Energy (BLE), but I've always been more comfortable jumping between passions than picking a lane.
You could say the same philosophy extends to my personal style: why play with just one color when you could have the whole rainbow?
The one thing that remains simple across my many hyphens? I love a good story. In fact, I'm obsessed with them. I’m constantly awed by the ways stories connect us, and am never happier* than in the rehearsal room (as actor or director), collaborating on a new piece or reimagining a classic.
*That is, unless I’m doing something else I adore: experimenting with my coaching clients, helping makeup clients feel confident as their most authentic selves, or writing my weekly blog. I’m very lucky that many things in my life spark joy (which, according to Marie Kondo, means I get to keep them!)
XOXO,
Play Practice (or the artist formerly known as The Courageous Creative) is my Substack newsletter for colorful creatives and multi-hyphenates. I also share the occasional essays on culture or updates on what I'm working on.
Within Play Practice you'll also find career-specific content in my column/community The Practice Room, where we also read and discuss plays every month!
