Yeah, it's probably this indie zine I took from concept to reality in June 2025 featuring LGBTQIA+ theatremakers.

Proud to Present is an 88-page zine filled with interviews with and essays by the next gen of LGBTQIA+ movers and shapers in the theatre industry.
100% of profits are donated equally to Transgender Law Center and Point of Pride.
Proud to Present was conceived, written, and edited by me (Kat Wolff!), with graphic design by Nasir Panjwani.

Point of Pride
Transgender Law Center, founded in 2002, is a trans-led organization whose advocacy wins and victories in litigation for trans folks within the realms of employment, education, immigration, prison conditions, and healthcare have set new precedents and advanced trans liberation for over the past two decades.
TLC, in addition to their legal victories, has “incubated groundbreaking programs including Black Trans Circles Project, Positively Trans Project, the Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project, TRUTH Project, TLC@SONG Project, and the Disability Project.” [source: TLC website] They offer free education about the legislation impacting trans folks nationwide.
POINT OF PRIDE is a group that’s been helping trans and non-binary folks access life-saving gender affirming care since 2016. They have a variety of services that include providing free chest binders to those with financial need, funds for gender-affirming surgeries, HRT (hormone-replacement therapy), and electrolysis, and more!
They also have an amazing letter-writing program to send affirming messages to trans folks: “The cards you write are discreetly mailed alongside support packages to trans people with barriers in accessing healthcare. 88% of recipients are trans youth under the age of 24.” [source: PoP website]

A peek at a few pages ↓
On June 2nd, 2025, I wrote down a crazy idea in my journal.
I'd been in a workshop run by the brilliant Jen Waldman, and it was the start of Pride month. I was thinking about two important "C" words: Community and Contribution. Being a working actor, I didn't feel like I could contribute much during Pride...my pocketbook was tumbleweeds. But I wanted to connect with and uplift my queer community. I believe "LGBT magazine with theatre people for charity" was the exact written form my brainstorming took as the concept began to crystallize. Then it was off to the races to make it happen.
I began emailing everyone I knew who was queer and doing something cool in the theatre space (turns out I know a lot of those!) to ask to feature them. I asked for help on Instagram and TikTok, and sent a lot of cold emails and DMs. I pitched a heavy lift pro-bono graphic design job to Nasir Panjwani, who graciously made the magazine the beautiful finished product that it is. Sylvia Taylor came on to help me follow up with people via email as I left NYC for a production of Hair and had to juggle my new editorial project with a full rehearsal schedule.
The response was overwhelmingly positive and the generosity of the theatre community really pulled through. Thirty days after that original journal entry, Proud to Present was published. The people whose interviews and essays line her pages are LGBTQ+ icons who I'll forever love for sharing their brilliance with me and our readers.
Our first summer, we raised over $400 for Transgender Law Center and Point of Pride. Not too shabby for a girl without an influencer-sized following. I hope that number continues to grow for years to come. Thank you for being here.

I'm glad you asked! The content is exactly the same. The only difference is the price -- pickup copies are slightly cheaper because they were part of a bulk order, whereas the print-to-ship copies have higher costs to print a single copy as well as shipping costs. However, the donation amount for both print options is the same ($9), there's only a difference in the overhead costs. The pick-up copies have a velvet matte finish cover, and the print to order copies are only available in a glossy finish cover.

I do have hopes and ambitions for a Vol. 2 of Proud to Present, but it didn't fully materialize due to time constraints in 2026. But I did get to interview a few special LGBTQ+ artists before life got super busy, and those will be available to read (for free!) over on my Substack, Play Practice, under the 'Courageous Creatives' tab, published monthly beginning in August.
